Hurry up and get it collapsed, I've a bet to put on!

For those of you at all concerned about what's happening at The Circus on the Hill (I personally have a nice bottle of Chablis chilling just waiting to be cracked open!) here's the latest odds from Paddy Power with regards seats to be won by Sinn Fein and the DUP in the highly unlikely event of an Assembly election being held tomorrow. No odds yet on everybody just winding the whole shambles up for good and heading back to our real parliament but I'll keep you posted.

No. of SF Seats at Assembly Election?
(They presently hold 28)

28 to 30 seats 11/10

Over 30 seats 7/4

25 to 27 seats 3/1

21 to 24 seats 6/1

20 seats or under 16/1

No. of DUP Seats at Assembly Election?
(They presently hold 35)

22 to 26 seats 11/10

27 to 31 seats 6/4

32 to 36 setas 6/1

17 to 21 seats 7/1

Under 17 seats 16/1

Over 36 seats 20/1

Paddy P does have a welcome occasional tendency to go for the loss-leader but headlining odds, but he was pretty spot-on with both the Euro and London Lord Mayor elections so...

If you have a few bob spare I'd go for a SF winning over 30 (but low 30s) and the DUPes reduced to 22-26 (moving towards that higher figure).

OK and the running in the national, as it were:

Next British General Election

To win most seats:

Conservatives 1/14
Labour 13/2
Liberal Democrats 100/1

Not much money to be won there...much more interesting is:

Conservative Majority

Over 100 seats 9/4

Defeat or No Majority 3/1

82 to 100 seats 4/1

42 to 60 seats 9/2

62 to 80 seats 5/1

22 to 40 seats 5/1

2 to 20 seats 7/1

62-80 sound feasible?

"62-80 sound feasible?"

Not particularly considering the bias in the system.
