Political Beliefs
I'm a UK Unionist.
I believe in the United Kingdom, the continuing Union of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
I believe the creation of devolved "governments" in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, along with the corresponding unsolved "English Question", has weakened that Union. I hope to see the return of one sovereign parliament, based at Westminster, governing and having sole authority for an entire and United Kingdom.
Outside my Unionism, I consider myself as an economic libertarian and social liberal. The present-day Conservative Party would be the national party which would come closest to representing my political beliefs.
I have previously belonged to the "Friends of the Conservatives" and the UUP but am no longer connected with either party.
My biggest political influences/heroes would be Edward Carson, Benjamin Disraeli, Edgar Graham and my father.

A Better Union
One Nation
Personal Details
I am married and a native of Belfast, but have lived in West Cumbria, London and mainland Europe and worked in the fields of both finance and education. I am presently self-employed. In my spare time I enjoy running (have just completed my second marathon!), football, travel, reading, keeping tropical fish and playing the guitar (very badly!)
