Labour's constitutional vandalism has weakened Parliament, undermined democracy and brought the integrity of the ballot into question - and its unbalanced devolution settlement has caused resentment in England and rising nationalism in Scotland and Wales.
We need radical change to restore public trust in politics and increase public engagement in the decision-making process.
I'm guessing my and David's interpretation of "radical change" may differ... but still...recognition of the problem is the first essential step.

Why is it a problem to the people of Scotland and Wales if they are heading in the direction they wish to go. Surely you mean a problem for British nationalists and their fellow travellers. I'm afraid those of you who would rather put the best interests of England above those of your own nation have "hid their tea"
Time to deal with realities, much the way those on the right in Scotland are beginning to do within a Scottish context, for Scotland.

Perhaps the first point has merit but the second and third are if anything the opposite.

I'm tempted just to label this a pile a shite and be done with it. In Scotland the public has far more say in the democratic process due to the procedures that lead to a bill being enacted. And I would love to see how any Tory party could restore public trust in politics, perhaps my first instinct was the right one.
