Positivism is the key to "Unionist Unity"...

Some very recent mixed messages from the DUP:

17.02.2009: Ulster Unionists split over health cuts!

17.02.2009: UUP on their own in voting to stop Government (Reg has anarchist tendencies? someone had better tell the Tories)

18.02.2009: The UUP have become the Party of cuts says Hamilton

and finally....

18.02.2009: Unionist community deserves a positive campaign

I though what was interesting is they are essentially on policy differences rather than the traditional I'm the true Unionist No I am You're a lundy etc stuff of old. Some healthy competition for voters instead of the sterility of older exhanges perhaps?

Also the pledge of a positive campaign did come afterwards ;)

So we dare not mention McGimpsey's cuts then???

The Minister for good news stories clearly doesn't like any criticism when he's chucking old folks out onto the street by closing their care homes.

Shame that cos he's gonna get plenty!

Technically no...the reporting of the pledge came afterwards;)

No, you fire away there- 3 posts criticising Unionists, 1 calling for Unionist Unity, all within the space of 24 hours shows an admirable disregard for the usual political norms.
