Time to dip deep into your pockets as Mr Poppy Man is starting his rounds...
This year is very special one for the Royal British Legion and our nation as a whole, in that 11am on November 11th marks the 90th Anniversary of the Armistice, the moment when World War I came to an end and just one more reason to donate here.

Good for you, O'Neill. I am already wearing my poppy and have a velvety one stuck on the car windscreen too.
My late father was a veteran in the now-defunct Holywood Branch and helped to organize the annual poppy collection around the pubs etc.

Something I wrote alittle while ago:
How a nation treats those who have been injured and wounded whilst in its service is a true test of its civilised values; unfortunately the UK does not perform at all well in this respect.
I'd perhaps replace the "nation" with the "state", plenty of good folk put a lot of work and energy into this cause, I really don't think they get the recognition or support from the government they deserve.
