I've kept deliberately quiet on the alleged Ménage à trois between the Conservatives, the DUP and the UUP mainly because (as is the case with almost all the journalists and bloggers who are commenting) I have no idea about what has been agreed or what may transpire. I think mine is the wisest approach. Certainly saves me from being embarrassed either now: e.g. a certain "experienced" journo being left with egg splattered right across his face on Slugger when Ian Parsley popped up in the comments zone to contradict his version of events (Parsley, unfortunately for the hack, had actually been present at meeting Walker had decided to pass judgement on); or in the very near future, when all will have to be revealed anyway.
However, one of the more bizarre ideas being floated has been put to rest. It appears Paterson and the Unionist desperados didn't climb through the windows of Hatfield House and conduct their conspiring, unseen and unbeknownst by the Conservative hierarchy and David Cameron.
Owen Paterson isn't in his leader's bad books, so bang goes another rumour put about by a *disinterested*, "oh no, I'm not spinning" *senior source* and gobbled up, hook, line and sinker by the gullible. Whatever's been agreed...or in process of being agreed...or definitely not agreed, Cameron is fully aware of and, it would appear, supports.

Clearly a more sensible option than Owen over on Three Thousand Versts who appears to have variously described the meeting as a "non story", then attempting to claim that a hung parliament was never discussed (which I think anyone with half a brain seriously doubts) and finally suggesting that its all some grand plan which will see the DUP metaphorically take some pearl handled revolver to make a sacrifice with nothing in return.
Seeing as he appears now to be blocking any criticism of his all-knowing 'analysis' we have to vent our amusement elsewhere.
I have blocked one comment over the past few days (other than the daily efforts in Chinese). It wasn't in your name. Anything you'd like to clarify? Anything which is civilly expressed will make it unto the comment area of my blog. Unless your Kensei.
"Dave"?
Oh dear. Imagine if a DUPper had called him Dave, you'd be spitting feathers about such a disrespectful way of referring to the future PM.
Are you angry?
Are you angry?
