BNP enlists Wallace and Glyndwr

This qualifies as the truly bizarre:
The far-right British National Party has been accused of hijacking images of popular figures from Welsh and Scottish history.

The right-wing group's merchandise website, Excalibur, is selling items emblazoned with images of St George, William Wallace and Owain Glyndwr together with slogans such as "British by birth, Welsh by the grace of God". The BNP claims the idea is to draw on Scottish, Welsh and English history to "introduce the idea of nationalism to a total stranger".

No, I don't really understand that last phrase either.

Totally off the wall. Surely a Welsh person who has heard of Glyndwr or a Scot who has heard of Wallace has some concept of nationalism.

The good thing about the BNP is that they are insane. Sadly the bad thing about the BNP is also that they are insane.

Have these eedjits no concept of history? The two men mentioned fought with all they had and paid the ultimate price to stop England gaining her first and oldest colonies.
