What's curious though, if you do a little bit of further digging is this:
Chart 7 shows that 11 per cent of respondents ‘strongly agreed’ or ‘tended to agree’ with the statement to be truly Welsh, you have to be white. Of those people 55 per cent then went on to ‘strongly agree’ or ‘tend to agree’ with the statement to be truly British, you have to be white.
Why the discrepancy?

But of course, the inclusivity of British unionism demands that Welsh bigots be British bigots also. Yet you fail to tag this post with a reference to bigotry in Britain.
Why the discrepancy?
Well Unionist bigots would know all about that!
The approximate percentage of Welsh people wishing for Independence is also 11 percent.
What a curious comment that, probably deliberately and conveniently ignores my question. OK, first ever query about my tagging system; if a post deals with the Uk as a whole then I tag it "UK", if it deals with a specific region or topic then I tag it with that particular label. Following your logic, i'd be tagging every post with UK, which would kind of defeat the whole principle of the tagging system don't you think? If you're still convinced that I deliberately discriminate against Wales, press the "bigotry" tag at the end of the post to access my previous posts on the topic.
And, finally, yes, you are 100% correct Welsh racists are also British racists.
My comment above is addressed to "curious".
Well Unionist bigots would know all about that!
You've got me there MR Plow (sic), answered my question and no mistake.
Stonemason - pretty lamne post, even by your standard!
Look for a racist, look for a Nationalist, disgusting creatures.
Look for a bigot - find Stonemason seems like a better motto.
Those last two comments were silly and on the verge of being removed. Any chance that we can address the question in my original post?
If not, then I'll close down comments on this.
And I apologise.
I can remember, more than 40 years ago, someone complaining about a nursing assistant, "lazy, no other word, they all are from ....", this person was speaking about Caribbean immigrants, typical back then, now the tempest in Wales is set against the English, and those Welsh branded Anti-Welsh, racism it seems can be very flexible.
O'Neill - I'd have no problem with the deletion of all four posts. The Stonemason's attitude and false belief of widespread racism is typical of many Welsh unionists though (thankfully far from the majority). It drags debate down to that level and I apologise for following him down there.
As for your original point, it's an interesting one for sure. The majority of Wales is less multicultural than England as a whole, but so is rural England. I assume that if the same poll was conducted in rural English you'd have a similar disreprency between people's definition of English and British.
