Devolved manure

Simon Hamilton is widely regarded as one of the rising stars of The Devolution Experiment...and most unusually for one of The DUPed, he also has a blog.

He is presently spending most of his time debating bovine anaerobic digestion (the whys and wherefores of cows farts) with Jim Allister MEP. There may well be those resentful and bitter enough to say that our representatives engaging in such arguments is not the most efficient employment of UK’s taxpayers’ money...but really when you were foolish enough to vote for a Toytown parliament, what exactly did you expect?
Meaningful debate and discussion?

Is Hamilton's blog the first by a MLA?

Good to see he is prepared to give it a go, hopefully he will give us something to debate over in the not so distant future.

Paisley Junior had one I think. Not sure it's still going, I stopped reading when he started giving out commenters' personal details.

Hamilton (despite what i said in my sarky post) is on the more intelligent wing of the DUP, so there is potential there for a decent blog, if he takes afew risks.

Its not very active is it though. All he has so far is USA election stuff along the lines of "blah blah blah repeat republican mantra about McCain because he is a prod not a namby liberal". Pretty uninspiring stuff and this is the best of our MLA's. He won't come out with anything interesting because no one in the DUP ever has a real opinion of their own its either the bibles opinion or DUP HQ.
