ASSEMBLY Members have filed expense claims for coat hangers, surround-sound televisions and the redirection of mail, it was disclosed yesterday.
The information was made public for the first time yesterday after Freedom of Information requests made by MediaWales, the publisher of the Western Mail.
More sinisterly, it looks like we’re also paying for this:
For example , we have already been informed that this blog is being monitored hourly by a large Cardiff legal firm on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government.
From Cambria Politico, but two other blogs are also apparently under surveillance(here and here).
Time to check out those reader details again methinks on Statcounter.

You would have thought the party hacks would be keeping an eye on the bloggers not a pay-by-the-hour legal firm!
Oh they are as well, believe me! Once you start looking carefully at StatCounter it's incredible how often a party hacks appears (one of them looked at Amlwch to Magor 12 times from his Blackberry on Monday!).
The BBC and Trinity Mirror also appear often. Thankfully Amlwch to Magor is way too boring for the big legal firm representing the WAG to bother looking at it, at least not this week!

I occasionally get a SNP Westminster ref on my stats and a NI Gov. (although I'm not sure that's civil service or someone connected with the actual government).
Bearing in mind the total of readers most of us are oulling in, I really don't know why they bother.
I know, they might as well sit in the pub and listen to conversations there for tips on how "the people" are thinking!
