Time to hit the bookies

It's not looking good:
Cameron taunts PM, saying: I'll be in Glenrothes, will you?

Unfortunately, yes:
GORDON Brown has stepped in to help mastermind Labour's bid to beat the odds and win the Glenrothes by-election.

Well, that's it then, all-over, bar the gloating.

That is what the Record is saying. Strangely the Herald, the Times and I think the Scotsman as well are saying that he is not getting involved.

Apparently No.10 is denying what the Record is saying.

All smoke and mirrors?

Considering that the Daily Ranger is the official mouthpiece of the labour party in Scotland.

Who knows?

Will it matter?

In my view the Holyrood elections were Labours Stalingrad, and Glasgow East her Kursk. Perhaps Glenrothes will be her final defence on the Oder before the ultimate prize of Berlin, the Westminster elections?

I think a comparison to Dad's Army rather than the Wehrmacht is more appropriate for Labour at the minute. Under the less effective leadership of Capt Brown they're defending the White-Cliffs with wooden rifles.

Funny, but I don't think it is quite that bad for them yet.

I'm surprised you haven't blogged regarding the Asian SNP councilor firing the Kalashnikov. You're slipping ma man, it's days old.

They're pretty near their lowest point for decades;if they dump Brown who knows, but until then, I can see much hope for them.
