Salmond's National Party

Salmond grabs a gratefruit for breakfast (check out the photo), goes on holiday and the SNP (and my blogging on Scottish matters) grinds to a halt.

Not saying they’re a one man band...

*Yes, I know about the by-election, but the poor bloke has only just died, a bit of respect for at least 24 hours wouldn’t go amiss.

Update:
From Kevin Maguire:
I see the SNP leader in Westminster Angus Robertson has issued a tribute to MacDougall. That'll be the same Mr Robertson who was seen by my spy on a flight between England and Scotland a few weeks ago leafing through what looked suspiciously like SNP canvass returns for MacDougall's seat.

I only hope that Mr Salmond spends his summer vacation in his native Scotland, savouring the weather. :-)

I expect the SNP's response would be "how many people die in Iraq each day thanks to Brown's war-mongering, which was supported by John MacDougall?"

That's an unusually wayward comment from you toque. If MacDougall supported the war specifically because he wanted Iraqis killed you (and they if that's what their response indeed is) would have a point.

Where would I acquire a large photo or poster of Alex Salmond?

A curious request…how about this one from the Daily Mail?

Or a more angelic pose from The Scottish Unionist:

Thinking about it a bit further...it hasn't got nothing to do with Wednesday's friendly has it?

I wouldn't like to think you're going to do anything provocative with the Csar's image;)

O'Neill! I'm shocked at such a supposition! :-X
