The king of Edinburgh, Alex Salmond (cruelly nicknamed "Shrek" by detractors on both sides of the border), has taken to signing official letters with a self-important "Yours of Scotland, Alex". A recipient noted that the First Minister also styles himself "Rt Hon" on the letterhead, nationalism failing to dampen enthusiasm for an honorific courtesy of British rule.

God, get it right, it's
'Yours for Scotland,'
as other people have noted, its pretty common in Scotland.
If he's Right Honourable he must be a privy councillor (like a certain P Robinson); as you say, he hasn't declined such privileges, unlike the shinners who refuse to even sit at Westminster. :-)

Have you ever received a letter from the Csar? If not, how do you know what way he's signing them?
Tim,
No problem whatsoever with him descibing himself as Right Hon- shows a healthy respect for our parliamentary traditions;)

First I've heard of it, still it is on a higher plain than the argument for keeping the union. And it would most certainly be YOURS FOR SCOTLAND. A common theme amongst Nationalists in ending e-mails and letters, with another being Saor Alba.
Anyhow why the desperation for character assassination? Run out of ideas already ;¬)
Apart from the fact that he's green, slightly on the plump side, with big ears, i don't think being compared to Shrek is really that much of an insult;)
