Brown pants it yet again?

Downing Street was embroiled in a row with the Department of Health last night after a "flagship" government bill to push back the boundaries of science - by allowing research using animal-human hybrid embryos - was suddenly withdrawn from the Commons next week.

Have a guess why it was withdrawn...give you a clue, here's a headline from one of my posts this week:
"Labour to play safe and sectarian in Glasgow East?"

Mr Eugenides has more.

And on the subject of fundamentalist reactionaries doing squalid deals- the DUP sold their vote on 42 days to ensure that the woman’s basic human right to choose remains banned from Northern Ireland? Believable? Erm...let me think about that for a couple of nano-seconds...

As soon as the ""normally vocal on the subject of safe "communal" human-rights"" Sinn Fein and the SDLP "socialists" get the the OK from their parish priests, I'm sure we‘re going to hear a lot more on that one as well.
