Peter Robinson and Martin McGuinness are to be nominated as first and deputy first minister at Stormont later.
In a statement on Wednesday, they said they "look forward to working together after we have been nominated as first minister and deputy first minister"
And after all the macho-posturing, so continues the most dysfunctional “government” in the western world.
In the same report, Adams states that he hopes to build on the "successes" of the first twelve months, successes like:
Er...what exactly?
1. The establishment of local democracy?- Ours is a unique system where everyone's in government with no opposition monitoring its performance.
2. Meaningful or substantive legislation?- Name it.
3. Education? System is in now complete disarray.
4. Agriculture, fishing and environment etc? "All-Ireland"
5. Quality of government? Seriously? We had some right dummies as Direct Rule ministers, but I challenge anyone to come up with any who performed worse than Mad Cat Ruane and Dumbo Poots.
6. The removal of communal and sectarian division? More "peace walls" now in existance than in 1997.
