English separatists or Celtic nationalists?

I must confess that up to a few days ago I’d never heard of Mebyon Kernow, but with them now setting up a Cornish Home Rule Working Group, I think I’ll be keeping a much closer eye on them in future.
It's not that Cornwall became part of England, it's just that the English forgot Cornwall was not part of their country

From the Cornish Democrat.

These guys marched on London as recently as the 16th century if memory serves. Hardly an English speaker amongst them. Now in their festivals, many refuse to believe there is anything distinct about them and Englishness.

Glad to see the revival of another section of our people. Long may it continue.
