Via The Croydonian, the news that the European Parliament’s constitutional affairs committee on Tuesday approved a plan to rearrange the number of MEPS according to the resident population of each EU member.
What it means in practice is Britain would probably be entitled to 5 less MEPs than present.
But who to go?
I think it would be a magnamious gesture on the part of Bairbre de Brun to pack away her expenses claims forms and quietly depart- it must be a terrible blow to her self-image and indeed, *national identity* to be considered a British MEP and anyway, according to her profile, she seems to be under the mistaken impression that she is representing somewhere else called "The Six Counties" - perhaps she should consider relocating and standing for election there?
