Hot Air in the Welsh Assembly

Wales should help fight climate change with its own annual targets to reduce greenhouse gasses, the Tories said today.

So said a Tory MP today in the Welsh Assembly.

But..Wales is already playing its part in "fighting climate change", it still is part of the United Kingdom and the United Kingdom already has its own greenhouse gasses target.
Is Wales is planning (or able) to do something extra, or will it simply be the excuse to set up some more "government agencies" (aka quangos) and make-believe jobs for the lastest batch of social-sciences graduates?

Opening an Assembly debate, Conservative environment spokesman Darren Millar said: "We have a moral responsibility to do our fair share to address the problem, especially towards developing countries."

The problem can be much better addressed working with the resources of the bigger team, ie on a coordinated UK-wide basis.
