Would I be right in saying that if Basil McCrea were to win the UUP leadership contest, he would be the first non-Orangeman to hold the position in the party?
Bearing in mind that the leader of the DUP also doesn't belong to the "Loyal Orders", I'm not sure if there is any real significance in that fact but if you're going to sell yourself as the "change" candidate, then it's a good starting point.

Managed to watch hearts and minds.
Not really much of a contest, but then again I'm not sure what the criteria is. Should it be outright bigotry ad nauseum then there seems a clear candidate.
The lack of openess in the debate is unbelievable in aq modern party *ahem*
