Barnett debate postponed.

The Lords debate due yesterday on the Barnett Formula, triggered by the report the Barnett Formula Select Committee published last July, has been postponed indefinitely.

Alan Trench at Devolution Matters reckons it may now happen after the General Election when, hopefully, it will be taking place in a completely different political landscape.

Update

This will have gone down like a lead balloon, I'm sure:
WALES is “well funded” under the contentious Barnett formula, Chief Secretary to the Treasury Liam Byrne insisted yesterday.

In a letter to Roger Williams, above, the Liberal Democrat MP for Brecon and Radnorshire, Mr Byrne insisted that there were no plans to replace the 30-year- old funding system
Too busy sorting out the furniture removals for May probably.
