A response to this article suggests the reason how Republican Congessman Peter King was able to support Irish terrorism despite him now having a problem with the Fundamentalist Islamic variety:

Ulster-Scot name, no Brits murdered....so according to Congressman King's logic then probably McVeigh was a terrorist.
