SCOTTISH Secretary Jim Murphy is to join his political rivals at a Cabinet meeting next month.
The Labour MP will give a pre-Cabinet briefing to the SNP's Scottish Government ministers on 23 June.
They will discuss the state of the economy and the effects of the recent Budget, which will lead to a £500 million reduction in the Scottish block grant.
Mr Murphy said: "This is an important time for us to work together for the benefit of Scotland."
Mr Murphy's briefing will be one of a series of by different interest groups.
An "interest group"?
And here's me thinking Mr Murphy was actually a representative of the sovereign government of the United Kingdom; looks like he's been demoted.

And about time too dare I say! The job is a nonsense but it suits the man.
