Quote of the day

More a post title of the day:
Gordon Brown will make slaves of English children.

The inhumanity of this Prime-Minister knows no bounds but even so, the re-introduction of the slave-trade is unlikely to happen anytime soon in the UK for a number of reasons.

The point made about the tendency of the BBC to mangle its terminology when speaking about England/Britain is however a valid one.

OK so the post title may be over the top but the point is this is another one of McBroon's hair brained schemes that will affect England only. But it's presented as a "UK" wide plan and the BBC as usual fails to point out the truth.

OK so the post title may be over the topOnly "may be"?! I took it in the spirit (I think) it was intended, but it did obscure the stronger point re the BBC. Despite what they constantly tell us, post devolution there is no longer a UK Education or Health Minister. I suspect it is simply editorial laziness rather than anything more sinister.
