Fancy a flutter on Jim?

Mr Allister shan't receive sufficient electoral support to retain his deposit, I fear; or shall he? :-)

Tim,

I don't think he;ll lose his deposit and he will continue to be an irritating thorn in the DUP's side but no more than that I think.

20,000 or so votes is the limit I think.

Is that 20,000 enough to damage the other Unionist candidates in your opinion?

Is that real money that you are voting with? And you seem awfy sure about 2010. You might just be forgetting the "perfect storm" facing Scotland that the SNP would be mad not to exploit. The combination of a Tory government and mass unemployment is perhaps all that is needed to turn a large minority of disinterested people politically into politically intersted folk with a hope for the future.

I wouldn't be betting real money on Jimbo, I generally keep that for the football;) but it could still give an idea, if enough people put in a punt, of what way the wind's blowing for the Euro election.

20,000 plus would probably damage Dodds the most, in which case she probably would still get voted in but in second place. I have a feeling with a bigger and more genuine choice on offer on the Unionist side, there may be an overall increase in total votes, although with de Brun topping the poll.
