Return to a dark past

Despite the fact that there are many politically related thoughts which are whirling round my head at the minute with regards to last night's murders; I'm really trying hard to stand back and think primarily about the kind of nightmare the various families must be going through today. If this horrible attrocity doesn't push people out of their present complacent comfort-zone, then I seriously don't know what will.

It was great to see the unity of support from the people of Antrim.
Catholic and Protestant standing side by side.

Quite right O'Neill. Complacency has got us where we are. It would be a mistake to believe that these groups are somehow abstrcted from the broader community; as you say, they come from the same background as those former members of the pIRA now sitting pretty as Sinn Fein MLAs in Stormont.
