Conor's non- PC communal labels

Conor Murphy has made an appearance in "Religious Intelligence" (an oxymoron surely?):
However, the Sinn Fein politician warned that the subject of policing and justice was a “very sensitive issue” for his party and the Catholic population of Northern Ireland at large.

I think he meant “nationalist population of Northern Ireland at large” there – Sinn Fein presume to speak for the “nationalist population of Northern Ireland at large”

Of course, you don’t necessarily have to be a Catholic to be a nationalist; Conor mustn’t have got Gerry's update yet.

Did he actually say Northern Ireland?!

He most certainly did, look here:

“If London has no long-term, selfish strategic interests in Northern Ireland, then it should prepare for disengagement”

Do you not feel that the 'Union' is just remnants of the broken commonwealth? It's over in my opinion. You're like a hoarder that won't let go of the past. The world has moved on to a different stage. Small, democratic and independent states as part of one large entity(Europe) is the only way forward. Sooner you realise it the better for us all on the island!

We'll have to leave that up to the electorate unfortunately for you and Conor! A question for you.. why do you think (unlike the situation in Scotland) SF aren't pushing for a Border Poll?

Small, democratic and independent states as part of one large entity(Europe) is the only way forward.

What like, Bosnia? Why does a small, democratic, *independent* state necessarily make more sense economically (Iceland?), politically (any of the former Yugoslavia), culturally (see the rise of the fascist right in Slovakia) or socially?

Sooner you realise it the better for us all on the island!

Are we not entitled to a dissenting view? And a "United" Ireland better economically and socially? Hmmm...you may struggle to get that past the ROI's electorate, never mind Northern Ireland's.
