If Cameron cannot articulate a vision for the future for devolution in the UK, how can he trusted to formulate a coherent foreign policy in an increasingly dangerous world?
Someone should ask Lesley what the Labour party's position on further devolution to Wales is and whether her Cardiff collegues will get the support of their London based friends such as Don Touhig and Chris Bryant in their drive for a referendum.
Even better, ask her if the MP serving her own consitituency of Wrexam agrees with her in wanting more devolution. Seeing as how the man in question is Ian Lucas I very much doubt it!
I think her basic point about Cameron is a valid one. I also think allowing divergent views within the parties on this question is pretty healthy, it should be a personal not party-dictated decision.
It's not the divergent of views that's the problem (every party has that and, as you say, it's a good thing). Labour's problem is that it's les of a split than a chasm. The vast majority of their rank and file members and all of their AM's want further powers, their MPs, for obvious reasons, are amassively against.
While there's nothing wrong about having a split on opinion, you can't then throw stones at other parties who haven't got a common line on the issue. The only people well placed to attack the Tories for having no single policy on further devolution are those who DO have party consensus on the matter, Plaid and the Lib Dems.
If you are going to make things up, at least have the gumption to insert some half truths in your outlandish claims to make it sound like you actually mean it! Your approach is not even spin - its just untrue!
The reason we have an All Wales Convention set-up is because Welsh Labour voted - by a HUGE majority - for 'One Wales' to proceed and therefore establish the Convention in the first place.
Welsh Labour is signed up to this current process - quite literally! Welsh Labour are the archtiects of this current process! So what on earth are you blathering on about Hen Ferchetan?!!
By the way, if no one believes me, please feel free to read this from BBC Wales from July 2007:

There are lies, damn lies and the drivel spouted by Hen Ferchetan!
Dai mansoor: The reason we have an All Wales Convention set-up is because Welsh Labour voted - by a HUGE majority - for 'One Wales' to proceed and therefore establish the Convention in the first place.

Aren't we saying the same thing? Or are you claiming that Don Touhig, Ian Lucas, Llew Smith, Neil Kinnock and pretty much every Welsh Labour MP (apart from Paul Flynn who is in support and Paul Murphy who'll have to publically, if not privately, support the referendum) will have a change of heart and come out in support?
Both the Tories and Labour are in a similar position - AM's in favour, MP's against. The difference is that with labour their rank and file are also in favour while with the Tories I suspect they'll be largely against.
All those MP's/Lords campaigned heavily against the One Wales Government and will do the same in the referendum. I hope that Labour's members will do the same as they did last time and ignore them.
