Salmond- attempting to reawake the ghost of Lloyd George?

Although Scotland fortunately hasn't had an Easter Uprising, an armed insurgency or a majority of the electorate voting for the forces of violent separatism, with The Salmond Summer Roadshow today hitting Inverness- Alan Cochrane points out a rather disturbing precedent:
Take today's meeting of the Scottish cabinet in Inverness Town Hall, for example. This was the venue of the only meeting, so far, of the British Cabinet outside of London. It took place in 1921 at the height of the negotiations which led to the setting up of the Irish Free State.

The fact that this was a meeting which contributed to one part of the then United Kingdom taking a giant step towards full independence will not be lost on those taking part today.
