The Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders (aka the Scottish National Party) presently engaged in preliminary skirmishes in the wilds of Glasgow East.

Talk about over exaggerating IDS role in Easterhouse, where a large part of my family reside. Ask 95% of the people who he is and they won't know, 99.9% wouldn't know what he has done. What exactly has he done anyhow?
Oh and whilst there are tenements in the east end of Glasgow, they are probably outnumbered by new social housing with back and front doors, fancy new rows of £150,000 and plush detached and semi-detached housing. I doubt if there would be much chasing, up or down. We also have until very recently the two most highly rated schhols(in terms of excellent ratings from HM inspectors) in St. Andrews Catholic secondary and Mt. Vernon primary school. Also whilst I tend to agree that the SNP won't win, it won't be for the sake of trying. I have received a total of 8 e-mails these past few days imploring me to come out and act as a guide to the volunteers who are traveling from all over Scotland, and some from Wales to canvass here.
Busy as I am, I think I will.
Labour candidate withdraws.
All is not well with labour, perhaps we will get to test the theory about donkey's and safe seats?

Labour really are doing all they can to lose this by-election.Which in a strange way is probably great for them as it will see the end of Gordon Brown.
