"A group of schoolchildren came to Stormont recently to play some football and they had to bring their own Gaelic goalposts because when Stormont was designed Gaelic games were not taken into account."
I know I'm probably being thick here, but is it really the responsibility of a parliament/executive/talking shop/waste of space to provide sporting facilities for junior footballers (of whatever description) on the actual grounds of afore-mentioned parliament/executive/talking shop/waste of space?

It's just Sinn Fein showing their true colours by anti-British rant and nonsense.
I imagine McElduff resents the cricket pitch there too.

Ignited, I agree, but for sake of consistency I should point you in this direction:

There's another great story about Mr McElduff.
He was visited by a Danish MEP who being danish spoke almost perfect English. So, bearing that in mind the MEP considered there'd be no need for him to employ an English/Danish interpretor.
But Barry being Barry he decided to employ an English/gaelic translator and to address the MEP in "Irish". The Danish MEP, quite rightly considered this to be a bit pointless and actually discourteous and as a revenge, switched back to Danish leaving both Barry and his translator completely in the dark.
I don't get it? Why is there any kind of sports pitch in the Assembly building!
I know the Assembly has responsibility for sports in NI, but I hope they realise that they don't have to provide it in the actual premises! :-D
HF,

I wouldn't put it past Barry to demand a gaelic pitch actually inside the debating chamber also, he's the man who puts "ethno" into "ethno-nationalist"!
But Stormont is situated in quite extensive grounds so I'm guessing this is what he's getting at. And as a big croquet man myself, if he gets his demand than I'll be calling for hoops also to be inserted in appropriate holes* for the sake of our shared future!
* You can interpet that anyway you want!!
