Ghurkas fight for justice

It's a shame that these brave men have had to resort to such measures.

For what they've contributed to the United Kingdom over many years, they deserve both citizenship and pension rights

On a sentimental level I completely agree, but the UK has responsibilities to India and Nepal.

It looks like they're going to end that agreement, which is fair enough as far as I'm concerned - the Gurkhas deserve better. As long as it's done without riling the other parties too much.

They should have a similar system as they have in France with the foreign legion. All those honourably discharged from the legion automatically qualify for French citizenship.

"He became a son of France not by blood received but by blood spilt"
