Saint Martin in the (Killing) Fields

It would appear that North Belfast's answer to Martin Luther King departed to meet his Maker last week....

Although to my knowledge MLK was never charged with kidnapping and torturing stray teenagers, nor indeed membership of a terrorist organisation; strangely no mention of that amongst the fulsome tributes to Mr Meehan's community spirit.

No such coyness here:
There is famous film footage which shows Martin engaged in a five-hour gun battle along the Border in the early 70s, perhaps someone can get it up on You Tube as a tribute.)

Quite, that would be indeed an appropriate way to remember such a supporter of "The Peace Process" and I'm also sure it'd go down a treat with all those sensitive "Irish"-American investors the fourth Marty's always talking about:
Piece of cloth flying over the City Hall= Bad PR
Terrorist "In Action"= Good PR

And with regards that "Campaigner against Sectarianism in Antrim" Award...
