I couldn't agree more. I notice Café Vaudeville is name-checked by Katie Melua. A more objectionable place I have never been.
Thank god there's still plenty of unpretentious pubs and cafés for the rest of us. But the more winebars etc open up, the more that trade is squeezed out.
