Fundamentalist Fashion Fascists?

Heaven preserve us from the curse of the Christian Hijab

Not really what I usually deal with on here, but this is a great article from John Coulter, detailing how the Baptist Church are operating sharia law in Northern Ireland’s Bible Belt.
At least, I think that’s what it’s about…..

A unionist reading the Blanket. I've heard of it all now!
Tis a good article, though. Not that I'll be subscribing any time soon or anything.
Welcome to the web, O'Neill. You make a great alternative to the Protestant Gazette blog I was reading recently!

Hallo there JC,
I like the Blanket, always important to know what the enemy's thinking...only joking, it's a good read which makes you think beyond your normal boundaries; there was a very good debate on there last year about the Danish cartoons for example.

Re the Protestant Gazette, that's one blog I've missed. I fear they'd think I was a bit of a Lundy to be honest, although I think my vision of the union has a much chance of success. Whatever, we're all part of a much wider picture. it'd be very boring if we all thought the same way.

Not that I give a monkeys what happens in any church, I do get a little uncomfortable hearing Whitewell praised in any way, as it seems to me to epitomise all that is sinister about "born-again" christianity.

As for John Coulter, whilst this is a diverting piece, any "unionist" whose "radicalism" (I hate overuse of inverted commas as much as anyone but sometimes they just seem necessary!) consists of wishing to see a united Ireland with a slightly autonomous Ulster, is best confined to the Blanket and the Sunday World.

That definition would include Tyrie, McMichael and a large chunk of the UDA leadership at one time, Chekist.
